After I upgraded to 2.4.3 unbound stopped working. I've upgraded to 2.4.4 since but the issue persists.

built on Wed Dec 12 14:40:29 EST 2018
      FreeBSD 11.2-RELEASE-p6

When i try and start unbound the following happens.
The following input errors were detected:

The generated config file cannot be parsed by unbound. Please correct the following errors:

            Looks no good to me.

            It should be

[2.4.4-RELEASE][admin@pfsense.brit-hotel-fumel.net]/usr/local/lib: ls -lah | grep python
            lrwxr-xr-x   1 root  wheel    17B Sep  5 01:54 libpython2.7.so -> libpython2.7.so.1
            -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 1.8M Sep 5 01:54 libpython2.7.so.1
            -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 54K Sep 5 01:56 libpython2.7.so.1-gdb.py
            drwxr-xr-x 28 root wheel 36K Sep 21 14:57 python2.7

            Re install.

              Thanks for the reply Gertjan.

I'm guessing the ".libpython2.7.so.1-gdb.py.pR2774s34cMN, .libpython2.7.so.1.RCQFTgPFRLn6, and .libpython2.7.so.tYm3wvvdOyvF -> libpython2.7.so.1" files are remains from the 2.4.2 to 2.4.3 upgrade that led to the loss of unbound functionality.

My unit is a Netgate SG-1000. I was really trying to avoid re-flashing to get full functionality back.

I'll attempt to reinstall once I get an OTG cable and report back.

                Good Evening,

It took me a long time to get around to this, but I've finally re-flashed my SG-1000 in hopes of getting unbound to work. Unfortunately the process was unsuccessful. As I understand it, unbound is built into the firmware itself. Since a reflash did not address the issue, what other solutions can I attempt?

                Thank you,

My apologies. The image reinstall did resolve the issue. I forgot that as a work around for unbound not working, I installed dnsmasq. I forgot to turn off dnsmasq before starting unbound. Thanks for listening.
