        Have you tried these suggestions?

Hi, I have not tried the suggestions included in the article yet.
          in /conf/upgrade_log.txt there is written:
          Updating repositories metadata...done
2.4.4_2 version of pfSense is available

          Thanks.

              Probably the fastest way: https://www.netgate.com/docs/pfsense/backup/automatically-restore-during-install.html

You select 'Recover config.xml' and when you press ENTER back to the Welcome Screen?!

After you hit Recover config.xml you should see this screen:
                      0_1549057455447_pfSense_recover_config.xml.png
Pick your patition, hit ENTER again, pfSense will read the config and kick you back to the welcome screen. You proceed with Install pfSense then as usual.
Of course before you do anything take a Backup first via Diagnostics -> Backup & Restore in the WebGUI.

Yes, once it has recovered the config it returns to the install menu so you can install using that.

If you have a backup of the config file anyway just go ahead and install there. You can always restore the config after install if you have to.
