Hello, i am running 4G USB stick as my failower , and if the system reboots and the 4G stick has been removed pfsense shows an error saying - "
pfsense network interface mismatch running interface assignment option"

I have to connect to the router with a monitor and keyboard directly to configure interfaces then.

While I do understand that it's a great feature to stay safe, in my case it's just very annoying.
Is there any way to just ignore the error and go with the previous configuration?

      Thanks a bunch!

No. That is why USB sticks have to be installed and never removed.

Thank you for the answer, that's a shame.
Is there any possible workaround that you can think of?

Like after each restart loading a custom config for example?
This is really critical for my situation and has to be fixed one way or the other.
          Thank you!

One solution would be to get a 4G/LTE modem that hands off the connection via ethernet ;)

Thank you, that's actually the way we are currently using it (not with pfsense though) , but because of the quantity of the modems it gets really expensive to have a 4G router for each modem.

I love the fact that pfsense is so easy to configure and just works out of the box with 4G modems, just the reboots are giving me headaches now )
