Netgate SG-1100 Continually reboots after restore
-
I set up my SG-1100 and backed up the working config. I had some issues with setting up a VPN and decided to restore to factory defaults from the GUI. When it came up, it had the factory settings and I restored the config I had previously saved. When the router rebooted it just keeps rebooting. As a result, I cannot get to the menu in the serial port to reset back to factory settings again. I tried the reset pin on the hardware and that didn't work either. At one point during the boot process I was able to stop the boot sequence and drop to a prompt but I had no idea what to type so I went with reboot which continued the never ending cycle. How can I factory reset the box so I can get back to configuring it.

Wouldn't I need a support contract for that ?

While you should if you use pfsense in a production setup really think about having a support contract - and btw the support contract on the sg-1100 is VERY reasonable priced.. 1 year is only $49 ;)
They are always very helpful with stuff like that - now if you contacted them and asked hey how can I get it to do xyz, and its working fine then they will prob point you to the forums.
But if your having hardware issues or issues with it even booting, etc. (there is a 1 year hardware warranty that comes with it for free - and it just came out so have to say I am sure your inside the 1 year) then yeah they are going normally be very helpful..

Who do I contact for warranty related issues ?
