pfSense Crashed when I tried to edit a Limiter

  • I was setting up FQ CODEL using:

    https://forum.netgate.com/topic/112527/playing-with-fq_codel-in-2-4/815

    as a starting point.

My only wrinkle is I also have ipv6 and ipv4 dual stack.

It seemed to be working, but I read further down and saw that the quantum, limit, and flows had been changed in an edit.

I went to one of the limiters to edit, and when I clicked "Save" (not Apply), pfsense crashed and rebooted.

pfsense had me download 2 files but I am not sure what I should do with them?

My environment is that I am running it as a VM on Server 2016 Hyper-V. I have only have 2 packages, acme and avahi, installed.

  • What value do you have for flows? He mentions that can trigger reboot. I am using 10240 without any issue, could also try 20480.

  • I have the quantum 300, limit 20480, and flows 65535

It seems to be working now. Just had a crash when I tried to edit one of the limiters.
