Cant install virtualized pfSense on Proxmox
-
Where to begin?? Yikes I'm trying to install pfSense 2.4.4p1 within a proxmox virtual container. I'm using the AMD64 bit iso file. The installation halts. I'm getting a few errors -- mostly - Shared object -"libgnuregex.so.5" not found, required by grep and
- Shared object - "libdialog.so.8" not found, required by "dialog",
I then get a bunch of errors
g_vfs_done() : iso9660/PFSENSE(READ(offset=638916608, length=2048)]error = 5The offset number with change since this error is listed 5 times. The installation kind of freezes and this point.
I'm not sure where to start to debug this problem. What do I do?

I've read this similar post https://forum.netgate.com/topic/140160/can-t-install-pfsense-on-a-x64-pc/4 and it seems like the errors presented here were nearly identical.
I've added kern.vtc=sc at boot loader prompt and it didn't change outcome -- still unable to boot.
I've confirmed iso is a good hash -- several times.
I'm using this release of pfSense - pfSense-CE-2.4.4-RELEASE-p1-amd64.iso
 Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz
 Motherboard - YL-SKUL6
 Proxmox 5.3-8

Just wanted to report that issue was resolved. The sha256sum hash of the iso.gz file was reported correctly however I discovered the files hadn't been extracted correctly when unzipped. My only suggestion would be to list a sha256sum hash of the actual iso file in addition to the iso.gz file.
 Thanks.
