Lan to LAN Keep alive?

I finally managed to establish VPN's to 2 remote Draytek 2860's, which are set at their end VPN to always on. However the connection seems to drop with lack of use. Is 'keep this alive' a default at the pfsense end? If not how do I set that? Or at least check it?
