      Hi Guys,

I've tried as much as possible but I can't get anywhere.

      I have a checkpoint Smart 1-5
      alt text

The LCD is 2x20 Character, and looks like a watchguard / similar. I have tried following this thread:

      https://forum.netgate.com/topic/7467/firebox-lcd-driver-for-lcdproc/30

however after successfully installing it it still doesn't show up on the screen.

      A few things:

I am running 2.3.5 on x86 pfsense full build as this is a celeron 1.5ghz cpu
How do I find out which /dev/cuau? number it is.

      reverse of LCD says:
      APEX
      HC202002
      GFHDYB
      3400202002200A
      PS11030072
      20110412

Where can I start to find the originating cause of the issue or get it working please?
      Would appreciate the help :)

2.3.5 is EOL, so if your device only supports 32bit you need to switch hardware anyway.

As @Rico said, 32-bit hardware is outdated, and the software branch of 2.3.5 is considered to be insecure.

The port placement and LCD look like a Lanner box in which case I would expect the SDEC driver to work. That's connected via the parallel port.
However almost all Checkpoints other stuff is Portwell/Caswell. That's not the EZIO LCD though.

But yeah it will only run the now obsolete 2.3.5.

            Steve
