Hi. i just want to ask how i can achieve 10.0.1.1 to 10.255.255.254 dhcp server pool on pfsense 2.4.4. When i try to set it, dhcp server service doesnt run.
when i downloaded config, and added pools separately using batch script to this config, it has over 50MB, but pfsense dont want to apply that config.
I know its overkill, but i want never ending leases.
      Any suggestions?

      Thanx.

Never ending leases... you're kidding, right? What environment are you setting up pfsense in - home, corporate, data center, where? I'm trying to figure out why you would need that many IP addresses in that range.

Totally flubbed what you are doing there.
Configure your subnet to a decent size, set static DHCP leases for fixed/known clients and thats it.

How does having a huge address pool give you "never ending leases"? No matter how big your pool, the lease will always end at the end of the lease time, unless renewed. Also, as mentioned above, you can simply map a MAC address to an IP address and then you will always have the same address.

              I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...

I guess he means he doesn't ever want devices to request the lease they had previously and have it refused because it's been handed to a new client. But, yeah, that's a ridiculous pool size.
What errors do you see in the system or dhcp log?
