    Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie who purchased the sg 1100 to use as the primary router and firewall in my home network. I am running version 2.4.4-RELEASE-p2 (arm64). I ran into trouble when trying to install new packages, pfBlockerNG in this case.

When looking for available packages, the list is empty. In the system logs, I get the following message: pid 78525 (pkg-static), uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dumped)

I get this message whenever I try to search for available packages.

Please note I do not have much experience with pfsense or networking yet but I want to learn.

Please try updating at the console. Connect to either the serial console or via SSH and run option 13 at the menu.

It's won't update because you are are already on the current version but if there is a problem connecting to the package servers it will show an error. Pleas copy/paste that here if it does.

      Steve

Thank you, Steve. I ran the update at the console and got the error below. There seems to be a "meta file" missing, leading to an authentication error. The error seems to persist even if pfsense uses default settings. Not sure what to make of this.

Hmm, please try the following commands:
          ping-auth.sh -v
          That should return 'OK'
          ping-auth -s
That should return your crypto ID. Don't post that if it does but if it errors out let us see the error.

          Steve

            I executed both:

            ping-auth.sh -v returns "fail."

ping-auth -s returns my crypto ID.

I have this same problem. SG-1100.
I can't run various basic tasks in the GUI like package updates although the router itself is working.
Was a fix found or should I raise a ticket too.

Please open a ticket if you're still seeing that.
