    fresh install on Sg-3100 problems

      purchased a used SG-3100 on ebay.

      arrived today expecting it to be factory reset but it hasnt.

      seller cant remember the GUI password. and the console is protected as well.

      any idea on how i can restore to factory?

      sorry for not using the correct terms but i am very new to pfsense

          thanks for the reply ,

          well after downloading the Netgate ADI image from the website and run it through Etcher, plugging it into the USB port on the front of the SG3100.

          console cable plugged into and putty fired up with the correct settings .

          now i am in the Uboot and have managed to type the 'run recovery'

          but now i am stuck at this point and just hangs.

            Where the hell does the SG-3100 manual tell you to use an ADI image, read it again:

              Get in touch with the Netgate support: https://go.netgate.com/support/signup
              They will provide the correct Image for your SG-3100

                Yes, please open a ticket with us if you have not already and we can get the correct re-install image.
