I'm running Kiwi Syslog server and am using that to accumulate messages as well as notifying me during emergencies. One of the emergency message I'd like to set up is when a gateway goes down (dual WAN setup).

Is there a list of syslog messages Pfsense can generate showing their format? I'm currently interested in gateway failures but others will undoubtedly come up.

There's this for the firewall log:
        https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/monitoring/filter-log-format-for-pfsense-2-2.html

But that's not really going to help you here. The gateway log messages should be pretty self explanatory. If it shows Alarm there's a problem.

There is no system log list as that could potentially be any FreeBSD log message.
