      Hi all.

I have configured safesearch for google, youtube, etc.; Everything works (ie: clients are directed to the safe sites as configured in the resolver); however, if I turn on the IPv6, then the dns resolution no longer resolves to the safe sites. Instead, the non-safe sites are resolved for the domains.

How do I configure pfSense such that DNS resolution works for IPv6 also?

      Thanks

Exactly where have you configured this and how?

@stephenw10 Thanks for responding. Not sure I understand what you're asking. pfSense is configured to pull an IPv6 address from the WAN side and the LAN interface is configured to track the WAN to provide clients an IPv6 address.

I think the problem is that when a client has a IPv6 address, all DNS queries go through the IPv6 interface instead of the IPv4. If I turn off the IPv6 on the client then all queries go to my pfSense resolver.

I mean just what configuration have you made to enforce Google safe-search.

            Redirects in Squid/Squidguard?

            Local DNS overrides?

Configured in Google Chrome locally? Or something in Google remotely?
