      Hello,

I have a SG-3100 that I would like to reset all the settings to the factory defaults. I would prefer to do a complete factory reset but I read somewhere that using that reset button is not a good idea. On a PC based install, i would just re-install but im not sure that would be the best thing. I still have access to the GUI and the unit is still operating normally. Is using the reset button as bad as the note I read (Wish I could remember where that was posted)? Is there a menu option, that I'm missing, to do a factory refresh (like what I end up doing about once a year on my phone)?

      Thanks

To completely restore factory fresh do this:
            https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/solutions/sg-3100/reinstall-pfsense.html

The reset button on the the SG-3100 is just a CPU reset, equivalent to pulling the power, so using that during normal running is not advised.
