i already install PF sense 1.2.2 live CD..
it goes normally exactly like wiki says..
after the installation finish.. i tried to install PF sense on Hard drive (number 99)
and the installation goes normally and reboot..

i already change the first HDD boot on bios..
      but after that

      there's and error says
      "F1 PF sense
      default : F1
      "

and it stuck in there.. i can do anything..
can u solve my problem ??
      is it my hardware fault?
      or the installation fault?
      or my stupid brain  ;D

i'm dumb.. but i have a desire to learn

I was trying to install on to a 250GB sata from a sata dvd with no luck, I tried writing zeros to the drive, load setup default, disable Extended BIOS Data Area,  disable CPU Hyper-Threading,  change to P-ATA & S-ATA, set sata to P0-3rd, disable floppy drive and floppy controller and  enable quick boot, then I tried to install pfsense it installed but  got the error 1 lba, so I plugged in a  80GB sata with the same setting and it installed and boot with no problem. so then I ghost the 80 to the 250 gig and that boot hope this help, I will look over the settings to make sure

Don't you guys think its funny that you all seem to have the same type of problem but no one has posted any help?

Its because the problem has been covered a gazzillion times all ready.

So I went back to the forum and searched again and some bloke said you need to disable UDMA in the BIOS, PIO only. I did this and bang both drives boot!
