      i am unable to add ports to my router with any unmanaged switch ive tried. not trying to set up vlans. just want to hard line everything instead of wireless. tried 4 different switches, and wiring. dont want to spend money on a new managed switch. any help is appreciated

        If you're only trying to add ports, then any switch should do the job. Why do you think it's not working? Do the link lights turn on? Flash? Dead? Some symptoms might help, as my crystal ball is on the fritz (again).

          Yeah you do not need a managed switch to just add ports.

          What is your pfsense router - is it an actually netgate box, or some pc your running pfsense on?

            Yes, as said, this should just be a matter of connecting the Ethernet cables. What's actually not working?

              I got it going. Literally every cable I tried was bad. I feel like an idiot haha. Thanks everyone
