        A lot.

What device : the smallest or the biggest ?

You'll be confronted with bandwidth bottle-neck issues long before you hit the maximum number of connections.

Btw : your question is wrong.

Edit : and where are the logs ??

@Gertjan thank you. I thought that those non-open source firewalls sold vpn licenses to limit access.
How should I ask my question?

This is the pfSense forum. I don't know what you mean with "non-open source firewall".

Why do you think there is a limit ?

@Gertjan I thought it was logical to have limits. I thought wrong. Thank you. Got my answer. I know this pfsense forum :)

It really depends on how many CPUs, what type & features and how much RAM you have. Some have successfully deployed to hundreds of clients.

I believe @KOM's point is that pfSense is open-source free software and there is no artificial limit in place for VPN connections (or any other connections) which you must purchase some additional license in order to exceed. Many commercial firewalls do indeed practice that trick to maximize the extraction of money from your wallet ... ☺ .

@bmeeks Yeah. Open source levels the playing field for everyone to have access to quality IT, network security and anything-software, and makes IT less daunting for businesses.
