      Hi all,

Can someone recommend a mini PCIe 4G/LTE modem that would work in the mini PCIe slots in the SG-4860? Looking to backup a broadband connection with that.

      Thanks!

      Robert

I have used several Sierra devices successfully. However whilst they work reliably they will not work at 4G speeds as they connect using PPP. I see in the 20-30Mbps range, it's obviously dependent on signal strength etc.
It's usually better to use an external, Ethernet connected, 4G modem.

          Hi Steve,

Thanks for the reply. I'm totally ok with using an external ethernet modem as well. Would you have any models to suggest that you've had success with?

          Thanks!

I've never used any personally but I know others have used Netgears LTE modems such as the LB1110.
