We recently changed from using Active Directory for authentication for VPN to using the local User Manager database. I was able to add a new user last week. Note - I normally use my personal account, not the admin acct.

On Monday upgraded to 2.4.4-RELEASE-p3 from -p2.

Today I logged in with my account and tried to add a new user and I can not access the User Manager admin page. It redirects me to update my password.

I can login with the admin account and I have verified that my user account is a member of "admin" group and under Effective Privileges it shows my account has access to all admin pages.

It seems I have admin access to everywhere else. I was able to update a firewall NAT rule for example.

Do I need to use the admin acct to access User Manager? Again, in past have rarely used User Manager since we were using AD. For 4+ years there was only the admin acct and my account in local database.

      Thanks
      -Andrew

I put in a fix for this issue yesterday. You can install the System Patches package and then create an entry for b9ed452dbba4689e6280efa7f503e30809a3d8e4 to apply the fix now.

          Thanks, that worked!

I didn't know about the System Patches package. Pretty slick. ๐Ÿ‘

            Why do we have
            b9ed452dbba4689e6280efa7f503e30809a3d8e4
            and
            cf529cbe33ae53f3f95b37a227da141b97465f20
            ?

One is applied to master, the other to RELENG_2_4_4.

The patch is the same either way, but Redmine shows it twice because it happened in two separate branches.
