When my pfSense router is rebooted (such as after updating the software from 2.4.4_2 to 2.4.4_3), my router comes back up and can be accessed, but my WAN interface doesn't have an IP. I have to go to "Status > Interfaces" and click the "Renew" button.

This may be a similar issue that is discussed here: https://forum.netgate.com/topic/127403/auto-renew-dhcp-after-outage

But that post was speaking more about the DHCP IP not renewing after the ISP had an outage. I also don't think I have a modem that provides a private IP when the ISP is down.

Is there some configuration setting I am missing that will renew the DHCP lease when the router is rebooted?

The script there helped me mitigate the renew issue.
