      Dear Users!

      I have a problem understanding the HA usage of pfsense. Do i need 2 public ip address to make it or not?
      In the video when the netgate engineer demonstrates the setup he has a /24 subnet for the setup, and i dont know its need-ed to have 2 public addresses or not.
      Now we only have one.

      Thanks for the help!

        You need 3, one per node and one for the CARP VIP.

          @Rico
          And there is no other way to do it?
          Its a lot of plus cost to get 2 more public ip, if the isp even could give us.

            AFAIK there is no ideal way around it.

              No good way around it. If it's worth HA it's probably worth doing correctly.
