default gateway switch from VPN to WAN after reboot

i got PIA vpn set up and i made it default gateway.
when i did a reboot the default gateway went back to wan.
even though PIA is selected as default.

i have tested this 2.4.4p3 and 2.5 snapshot
on 2.4.4p3 its showing the 2 as default.
and on 2.5 it shows wan as default.

i think this is a bug.
i already posted this on reddit and someone suggested to post it here.
