      Hey guys, anyone with an idea on how to block IDM (Internet Download Manager) on my network

        Block what part of it? It downloads stuff that are http/https - take you want to block its ability to create multiple streams and segment a file for faster downloads.

            You want to limit the number of http connections to the same IP I take it. That is not something that is easy to do without causing issues..

            You would be better of just rate limiting them in total.. Doesn't matter how many sessions they have open.

              I believe so, because IDM uses multiple https connections

                Yes, you can limit the number of connections per source IP in the outgoing pass rule but it will likely cause pain.

                  Yup limiting number will for sure cause grief.. Which is why you should just rate limit them.. So doesn't matter how many sessions they open they will be limited to X speed.

                        Yup or create the Limiters via the captive portal since I'm pretty sure you're using that.

                        Not sure how Open your Wifi is at this point! 😜
