Installing pfSense on Google Cloud Platform
-
I have tried to install PFsense on google cloud platform and followed all the steps provided in the below two blogs, however only able to get shell access to the firewall. Wan interface is up but it takes only internal IP on the public iP. Any help regarding this issue is highly appreciated.

You don't get a public IP on the interfaces of a cloud instance. There is always a private transfer network between your VM and a public IP. The relationship is configured in the cloud platform.

This post is very interesting OP...thank you for sharing! BTW, will you also use a 20GB space as in the link example posted and if so, what's the cost? I know 5GB is free.

I have a 2GB drive on the VM I use there. There is still some tiny storage charge.

Thanks Steve for chiming in...I have been reading up...seems that the 100GB for $20/year appear to be a good deal. It would be extremely cool for pfSense to demo this in a hangout session.
