What is serving DNS on your network?
-
Thanks for answer so soon! Place the Hostname where the proxy IP address goes but it is not connected. And apart in the network I have a DNS server.
-
You need to edit your DNS so that it resolves your pfsense FQDN to its LAN IP address.
-
That's a good idea, but you don't know if there is a way that allows me to take a trip to Pfsense or Squid?
-
Sorry, what? Take a trip??
-
@KOM said in Squid addresses:
Sorry, what? Take a trip?
Sorry, I want to know if exist a way to configure that in pfsense directly.
-
Not unless pfSense is handling your DNS. You said some other server is doing your DNS. DNS is what resolves hostnames to IP addresses.
-
you need to configure your dns server, if you have bind or something else on another machine you have to do it there
-
Ok, thanks. My idea is put in proxy configuration in the pc a name instead of ip address. I'll talk to DNS administrator in order to do the configuration.

under windows you can also modify C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and add it there
