Where are the diag logs located?
I just had a strange problem where clients behind my pfsense VM suddenly stopped resolving DNS... I have the typical setup where my WAN get its IP via DHCP from Verizon and NATs to my LAN. its all been working fine for days and then suddenly stopped until I rebooted my pfsense box... it didn't crash though, it was almost like DNS traffic was being dropped.

Status - System Logs might be a good place to start.
