If you want to block ads via squid you would have to enter a domain or IP for the site to be blocked in Squid. What about automatic ad blocking from http://pgl.yoyo.org/adservers/?

      Script location: http://pgl.yoyo.org/as/scripts/squid/
This script had default settings so you might have to move somethings around for pfsense, but what this does it automatically add ad sites to your block list. It will save you lots of bandwidth over time.
      Run it again to update.

        SquidGuard.

Seriously, Squid has performance problems with large blocklists.  Using SquidGuard solves that nicely.
