Can't update or install apps from Google play store
-
Hello I'm having issues with all my Android devices. None can update or download apps from google play store.
If I change to 4g or activate Nordvpn when I'm on wifi it works. Can anyone help me to find where is the problem?
For info, I have pfBlockerNG, but I didn't change anything and it worked very well.Thank you in advance

@luckyzor hi. First of all try to disable pfblockerng. Also make sure you able to open play.google.com with browser.
-
It works with browser and the pfBlockerNG was active.
I disabled the pfBlockerNG, saved the changes, reconnect to wifi and tried to download an app, same problem. -
@luckyzor As I understand you could access to Google Play but cannot download with direct ISP connection. Right? Could it be your ISP's issue?
-
I tried to download and update apps directly connected to the wifi of the ISP modem and it works.
So it's not a ISP issue.
-
Can anyone help me? I'm struggling to troubleshoot this issue.

@luckyzor said in Can't update or install apps from Google play store:
I disabled the pfBlockerNG,
Export your config.
Remove (the old) pfBlockerNG completely.
Try again - all is ok now.
=> pfSense doesn't block any outgoing connections by default. If there are any other issues, I advise you to talk to the guy who set it up ^^Now, install pfBlockerNG-devel - that is the devel version - it runs solid for all of us.
When done, do not activate all the lists, but one by one, and test the access again using your your Droid every time.
As soon as it doesn't work any more, you know what to de activate. -
@Gertjan thank you for your suggestion.
I uninstall the pfBlockerNG and indeed it worked.
Reinstall the pfBlockerNG-devel and it works with all my previous lists.
Can I assume it was a bug or something like that? -
@Gertjan Had the same issue, thank you for the helpful explanation!
