SG-4860 Unresposive After GUI Reboot: Console Shows Fatal Error
-
Got an SG-4860 that stopped working after a simple Web GUI reboot. Console shows critical error:
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function gettext() in /etc/inc/certs.inc:46
Stack trace:
#0 /etc/inc/functions.inc(32): require_once()
#1 /etc/ecl.php(21): require_once('/etc/inc/functi...')
#2 {main}
thrown in /etc/inc/certs.inc on line 46Any ideas on how to fix it?
I tried factory reset using the button, but it's not working. Poweroff. Power on. Hold button. It ends up at the login screen with 2.4.4-Release. I can log in using my firewall credentials, but nothing is working. No Web GUI. No IPs assigned to interfaces, so no DHCP.
I did make a config backup before rebooting, not sure what to try next though.

Looks like fastest solution is to reimage. I don't have support subscription though. Is it possible to get an image without that subscription?

@chrisarm
You just have to open a ticket at go.netgate.com
There is no need for a subscription. -
If you would of created your account when you first got it, you would just see it in the portal login.
I have never had a paid subscription..
But yeah if you just open a ticket, no need for a subscription they will hook you up with an image.

Registered on the support site, and they were able to get me a link to an image.
Reimage, reload config, back in business.
Thanks! -
Great - odd, but yeah always a good idea to keep install software handy for any kind of appliance.. I had one of my pi's bite the dust.. Damn sd wasn't booting, just pulled it and reimaged it, back in business in a few minutes.

I had exactly the same problem today, with my sg-3100.
Luckly, I also had a backup config and a 2.4.4 p2 firmware in a pendrive.
Installed, upgraded, restored, download blacklist from squid/pfblocker, restored my keytab file to squid folder, and everything is working perfectly again.
I will perform the reboots from now on with the F option, to force fsck.
