    HA Configuration with Avahi

      I have a functioning CARP/HA setup with failover DHCP. I am in the process of moving IOT devices to their own segment. The avahi package has worked great in exposing things like ChromeCast devices effectively across that divide. However, it does not seem to be linked to the XMLRPC sync for configuration.

      Does Avahi work with HA setups? Can/Should I enable Avahi on my backup firewall? I am not sure exactly how Avahi works and am hesitant to enable thinking it might duplicate some of the broadcast traffic in the normal condition where both pfSense instances are up and running.
