Is it possible to console from an iPad? I have a lightning to USB dongle and a USB to USB mini console cable, but I can’t figure out how to, or if I can, create a virtual serial port on an iPad. Does anyone know?

Any reason you couldn't enable SSH and then use an iPad terminal app to connect to console? Or are you looking to handle initial installation & configuration?

I have one of these, it does work with a USB to USB mini cable.

I generally use it at work with a USB to RS232 convertor and a Cisco console cable.

                Locking this thread.
Getting logs from iOS is unrelated to using the ipad as a serial terminal.
