Devs, can you add these fixes to source?

I outlined a few fixes in this thread. Today (June 19th, 09) I've updated the fixes so they are more complete and I've attached unified diff files.

I understand that you're changing to FreeBSD 8 and won't be using pppd for ppp links, but they're small changes and they allow users can get ppp based network links working in pfSense 2.0 base on FreeBSD 7.2 now.

Hi,
I really like pfSense and like testing 2.0, (and eventually using it in real life.) However, I have to spend a lot of time making ppp work every time I download a new image. I've submitted the patches that make it work for me in the linked forum post above. Can you please commit them to the tree for the 7.2 based 2.0 builds?

I know I'm not following the standard procedure for submitting patches with git, but that process is a lot of overhead for me. I'm not a regular developer. Please accept my apologies.
