      Hello…

I have recently configured a virtual IP, all NAT rules and applied all. When I try to access the webmail http page over the internet, I am getting a network time out page load error. (firefox)

I have loaded the page successfully using Nat port forwarding rules to the real IP address on previous attempts.

Can anyone confirm that the virtual IP section is currently operational?

      Thanks

Since several thousand people are sucessfully using VIPs, dont you think you might have a config error instead of a "nonfunctional VIP section" ?

You could provide some more infos on the VIP you've set up. (screenshots).

Sorry for the poor choice of words.  I blame the cheap chinese food for that one and the second bottle of water to try and remove the after taste.

Okay..I am using the current version of PFSense 1.2.3 RC1 April 16th release.

Here are the attachments and…thank you for your help.

okay. It's working now and I didn't do any changes. Mind you, this is 4 hours later. Could this be a TTL problem?

This could well be because of caching on your ISPs side.
Especially with VIPs it can happen, that your ISP has an old IP of your MAC cached and it took a while to clear it.

I have the similar problem.. I am trying to configure VIPs for the mail server (Exchange2007), I have 1.2 pfSense version, 3 interfaces (WAN, LAN and OPT1) the email server is connected to OPT1 interface together with domain controler. I made an identical configuration like "jits" showed in screenshots (with my IP adresses of course :)), but I can't connect or ping to my external IP of email server.
Can anyone help me with this issue ?

                  screens in attachment.

                  Reagrds Michal
