I have seen others on this forum complaining about the brightness of the LED lights. I have tried everything to turning off the Diamond LED, to using electrical tape. I still find the light too bright (just the Power LED is enough to blind you). Unfortunately because of airflow there is only so much tape you put before it becomes a fire hazard. Is there any other solution that works? Any suggestions? Very frustrating especially considering the router meets all my other needs.

        Thicker adhesive foam tape?

Or, and you didn't hear it from me, open it up and snip the LED's off the board. That's a bad option, however...

@akuma1x If I open I can put a pull down resister. But I don't want to open it up.

I've a feeling they are accessible via /dev/ I recall its a matrix value to set colours or something like that, maybe someone could comment if they can be turned off via a package or something.

I've no idea if turning them off is even a safe idea.

Probably not a good idea. They give status signals, although very minimal.

@NogBadTheBad Thanks for the link. I have already done that. The power is still too bright. The problem might be the cheap plastic case, as the light just leaks and flows out in all directions. If the case was make of good solid material at least the light would not leak and then a simple masking tape on the top would have done the trick.
