Coreboot - not Up To Date
-
Hi Guys!
In Extension to the forum post here:
https://forum.netgate.com/topic/141846/xg-7100-and-x710-da4-card-causes-fans-to-spin-at-100/11and the troubles with my HP 331T 4 Port Network adapter (thanx to Steve W. for his fast Ticket replies and help) i am assuming that the BIOS used for my brand new XG-7100 is not up to date (and maybe that is the reason for not working)
The pfsense is using the 01.00.00.11 coreboot. When looking at the github:
https://github.com/ADIEngineering/adi_coreboot_public/tree/master/releasesthe Versions there seem to be very old. Last commit Oct 2017.
The XG-7100 is using the Denverton FSP in Coreboot. Last Commit Jul 2019
https://github.com/coreboot/fsp/tree/master/DenvertonNSFspBinPkgWhen reading the release notes:
https://github.com/coreboot/fsp/tree/master/DenvertonNSFspBinPkg/Docs
"Intel recommends that future microcode updates are done as soon as the latest ones are released"there were FSP (Firmware Support Packages) updates Oct 2017, Jun 2018, Nov 2018, Apr 2019
Am i wrong and ADI Engineering is not doing their job?
Is it possible making a website like this to inform about the latest netgate coreboot news?

The files on that old ADI github are for RCC-VE (SG-2440/4860/8860). The XG-7100 uses ADI_PLCC.
ADI_PLCC-01.00.00.11 is the current version, from April 2019.Steve
