Mini pc installation issues
-
Hi,
I just recently bought a QOTOM Q106P-S08 Mini PC in hopes to use it as a router with pfSense. So I downloaded and imaged various releases onto to several USB flash sticks. I was able to get the PC to boots, I get to the menu, press enter for default install then it freezes. I need to press the power button to reboot it.
I've tried image 2.4.4, 2.4.4-p1, 2.4.4-p3 and I decided to try image 2.5. They all freeze as the same place.
I've tried changing things in the BIOS to legacy, I've tried switching kernels in the menu but it can't find the 2nd kernel.
Thinking maybe it was hardware, I tried installing Ubuntu server, and Untangle, both worked. Ubuntu did have a hard time with the kernel but it did succeed.
Any help would be appreciated.

Bad drive maybe? Can you drop to the command line and check
dmesg
for errors?
