I know the developer's ISO is out there, but just curious if anyone has attempted an AMD64 compile.  I have a situation where yes, I could get away with using i386, but they might just need all the horsepower they can get, and it IS an AMD64 cpu….cross compile toolchain would be needed though, wouldn't it?  Or can I throw a switch in make world?

We have put up a request at the donationspage month ago for aan amd64 system to develop a 64 bit version (bottom of http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=327.0 ) so if anybody is seriously interested to see an official 64bit version of pfSense you should consider a donation.

Understood.  I did send over $200 a day or two ago.  It's not much, but it would start the process.  Get an AMD64 cpu and mainboard anyway.

More than anything I was curious as to whether anyone had tried it yet.  Guess that's a no. :P

We got the donation, and I thank you.  We plan on buynig more drives for the master pfSense server as we are grossly out of space and constantly moving stuff around.

            Thanks!!!
