    One PCI and two Intel nic ?

      Hi i just bought me a extander with two pci slots on and two new INTEL PRO 1000 GT NIC but when i start up my new computer. pfsense will only recognize one nic why is that ? it finds the other one but with mac 0 i hope some one want to help me.

        If you mean you have a single pci slot on the motherboard, and you are using a single -> dual pci slot adapter….good luck.  They only work with VIA boards because they require a special bios to handle the IRQ's.

          yes that was exactly what i mean. are you sure it won,t work ? because it would be very nice to have two extra nic. and i mean that i use a risercard with two pci slots on it.

                Why not get a multi-port NIC?
