Package Manager Broken

Re: [Problems with package manager / (pkg-static)](uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dumped))
I have the same problem with my SG1100. No package updates nor new packages can be installed. I've tried from the console as per the advice in the referenced thread but no joy.

You are seeing the same core dump?
Are you running 2.4.4p3?
Did this just start or has it always done this?

Visit https://forum.netgate.com/topic/149112/no-package-available-in-available-package to make sure that isn't your case.

Yeah running 2.4.4 p3.
Packages were working fine in the past. Last time I upgraded some was the updates to the FRR package as I remember. I've got exactly the same issue as the referenced post in that authentication fails. I've also confirmed as per @Gertjan advised that DNS lookups are working which they are in my case.
Thanks for the help guys.

Ok so try the things I suggested in that other thread and let us know the output here.
Update from the console to see more diagnostic output.
Run these commands at the command line:
/usr/local/bin/ping-auth.sh -v
/usr/local/sbin/ping-auth -s
/usr/bin/openssl ec -in /etc/thoth/key.pem -noout -text
If you have not already you might also open a support ticket with us directly: https://go.netgate.com/

So the fix for anyone looking for this issue is to halt the system, remove power for 10+ seconds and power on. Not exactly ideal if the system is your main internet gateway. It does however fix the issue.
