Hi all, my install of pfSense has been running quite contentedly for a couple years now on my own hardware. I've done updates to it but I haven't done a fresh install on it since I put it in service 3 or 4 years ago. I log in quite regularly and all of a sudden a couple days I started getting a persistent pop-up that I can't make go away. The first popup is this one:

      alt text

And when I click the ok, it generates a second pop-up:

      alt text

that then has a link to a dead redirects page on the Netgate site. How do I make this go away? It is annoying as hell. And like I said, it started just a couple days ago.

That has been already discussed in here: https://forum.netgate.com/topic/149504/use-of-pfsense-on-non-netgate-custom-hardware/10
Something went wrong on the server-side I assume.

Indeed the URL link was bad it had to be updated. You should only have seen that twice though if you dismissed it.

@stephenw10 No I am continuing to see it. I have dismissed it multiple times. I got it last night again as I logged in. In fact because it is persistent is why I was able to get screen shots of it after the first couple times dismissing it.

Hmm, you should only see it if the local file differs from the file on our server. That creates the trigger:
              https://github.com/pfsense/pfsense/blob/master/src/etc/inc/copyget.inc#L63

Do you see the file /conf/copynotice_display present? Try removing it if it's still there after acknowledging the notice.

Aw, interesting. Yes that file is there. I removed it and the notices have gone away. Thanks!
