Hello folks! Hopefully someone will be able to shed some light.

      Setup info
      Version: 2.4.4-RELEASE-p2 (amd64)
      Multi-wan (wan; opt1)
      Default GW - OPT1
3 Virtual IP Alias on WAN, and 3 NAT 1:1

All Port Forwarding on WAN stops working when OPT1 is down (which is the default gw and is down).
While it is up everything works as expected. Port Forwarding to WAN and to OPT1 comes in and out just fine.

      • Tried setting policy based GW on WAN Rule to WANGW, did not work.
      • Tried setting DEFAULT GW = AUTOMATIC (System -> Routing), did not work.
      • Only setting DEFAULT GW = WANGW made things work again.

Failover works great, as outgoing connections are routed through WAN, but incoming connections on WAN stops working.

Sounds like your WAN interface doesn't have a gateway chosen on Interfaces > WAN
