      Hey folks,
Just a really quick question. Is it possible to turn a old router into a pfsense box? I have around 4 older ones so thought I might be able to recycle something.

Maybe list the make & model of the 4 devices.

            ???
Did these devices passed the first test : install https://www.freebsd.org/fr/ on them ... if that worked out fine, then yes, chances are good.

edit : on a soHO devices -> no way.
You need a more "PC like" device, or a VM, or a dedicated device from Netgate => https://www.netgate.com/products/appliances/

Edit : and where are the logs ??

Unfortunately I don't think any of those are x86 so installing pfSense becomes difficult to impossible.

You can probably put OpenWRT on at least one of them though.
