      Hi,

I just tried installing the PFJailctl package on pfSense 1.2.2.  According to the associate doc page (http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/PfJailctl_package), "Jails are created, started, stopped and deleted from the pfSense web GUI".  But I can't seem to find any configuration for the jail package anywhere in the GUI.

Am I blind, or is this something that has to be configured from the shell?  If so, can someone point me to the right location to start configuring my Jail?

      Thanks!

      Eric

It's all in the GUI, look under Services > Jails.

I would also suggest installing the Jail Template package. It is a lot faster than waiting on sysinstall to download/setup a system inside a jail over FTP.

Thanks.  It turned out that I had tried installing pfJailctl on pfSense 1.2.2.  Apparently, it seems that it requires 1.2.3 for the configuration options to show up under the Services tab.  I upgraded to 1.2.3-RC1, uninstalled pfJailctl, reinstalled it and now it shows up there.

I have also installed jail_template, rebooted and yet it doesn't show up in the dropdown list when I try to create a new jail.  Am not sure why.  I know I am getting Javascript errors on the Jail:Edit page, but I don't know if that is related to it or not.  Actually, I just tried in FF3, and it shows up fine there without any JS errors.  The JS errors occur in ie7.

          Thanks,

          Eric
