2.4.5-RC build xxx ... Faster interface?

The web interface seems much quicker. Layout and graphs almost instantaneous even on rather low spec hardware. Graphs initiate very quickly. The 'system is on the latest version' only takes about 1 second rather than 5 or more. Was there something critical in the base system that sped this up or am I just making this up?
Admittedly I'm a little late to the party and only been testing the RCs this last week so maybe this was fixed and done a long time ago and I just didn't notice.
