DNS Resolver System Domain Local Zone Type

This is a really basic question but for my local DNS resolver when it comes to the local zone type is the difference between transparent and inform only the client IP in the log? So if the logging was set to "level 1 basic operational information" there would be no difference right? So if I was troubleshooting an issue I would capture packets if ti was setup in type transparent while with type inform I could just turn up the logging and look at logs? Am I missing something?
