Interface flapping is back…with 1.2.2
-
I was under the impression that the finicky slbd process was "fixed" in newer releases? I'm getting spontaneous flapping of one of my WAN links when slbd fails its ping test. It fails even when I tell it to monitor it's own interface (pfsense WAN firewall nic IP). This seems to happen every 10-15 minutes since I upgraded.
Is there a solution that's favored by the pfsense whoppers?
Thanks,

is 1.2.2 a typo or do you actually mean this older version?
We are currently testing 1.2.3RC1 as can be downloaded from the snapshot server. Pretty close to RTM as I can tell (but I'm not asked). I wouldn't hesitate using it in production… -

I was reluctant to use an RC release in production. Should I be able to just upgrade to 1.2.3 on top of the current install (after saving my config, of course)?

Don't know how mission critical your install is.
I would give it a shot but I could live with an hour's drop out for reinstall if need be…Consider packages used and the amount of configuration that's not out-of-the-box. Anything special in your setup? But yes, it's still an RC.
