What packages have issues with 2.4.5 upgrade ?
-
I see lots of complains about 2.4.5 upgrade.
But no clear indication what packages really caused problems with the upgrade.
I also as many other keep my packages up to date and updated all before the 2.4.5 upgrade.
Please share your observations.
Thx

All I see is problems with pfBlockerNG-devel _29 where Shallalist and UT1 won't update. Other packages in my sig, no issues.

I guess one is pfBlockerNG-devel _29 that has to be removed before upgrade
Thx !

HAProxy devel wouldn't start on 2.4.5 in my firewall.
Reinstalled it and nothing. Complete with empty logs:
Disabled the package on the its main config page and got that it was just and old directive when I tried re-enabling it:
There was nothing wrong with the package, just with my old config. However, there was no indication of any of this until the package was manually re-enabled (not restarted).

@chudak Don't think it matters. I scratch built a new 2.4.5, still no worky.

Spoke too soon, HAProxy doesn't work from the outside for some reason for SSL traffic. I thought it was the Cloudflare proxy but after disabling it, still nothing. Connections end up in a record too long error or a connection closed error.
From inside though, it works fine, certificate is trusted and everything. I changed the ACME cert for one of my CA and still the same result but a message appeared this time, pointing to something about a wildcard.
I speak zero code but it seems it doesn't like wildcard certs and I'm using multi-domain wildcards. I upgraded further to the pfSense 2.5 beta to test my luck but it's not working there either. Uninstalled HAProxy devel and got the standard version, which is 1.8.something in these newer pfSense systems, would more or less match the devel version on pfSense 2.4.4p3 but it wasn't good either..
Good thing I saved the installers for the past several versions. Going back.
I'm kicking myself for not having taken a snapshot before upgrading…

@chudak This thread solves pfB-devel issues with 2.4.5.
