      Hi

Not sure if this belongs in the 2.0 Alpha forum or the Wireless forum.

Just performed an upgrade to newest 8 build. Seems to be some problem with the ath configuration, There's no options in the Standard dropdown box on the interface page. Tried setting to 11g by altering the xml file but it does not seem to help. I get the following error in my
      syslog :

      php: : The command '/bin/sh /tmp/ath0_setup.sh' returned exit code '255', the output was '+ /bin/ps awwuxx + + grepgrep hostapd ath0 + awk { print $2 } + xargs kill + /sbin/ifconfig ath0 down + /sbin/ifconfig ath0 mode ifconfig: SIOCSIFMEDIA (media): Device not configured + /sbin/ifconfig ath0 channel any ifconfig: SIOCS80211: Invalid argument + /sbin/ifconfig ath0 -mediaopt turbo ifconfig: SIOCSIFMEDIA (media): Invalid argument + /sbin/ifconfig ath0 ssid pfSense ifconfig: SIOCS80211: Invalid argument + /sbin/ifconfig ath0 -hidessid ifconfig: SIOCS80211: Invalid argument + /sbin/ifconfig ath0 -mediaopt adhoc ifconfig: SIOCSIFMEDIA (media): Invalid argument + /sbin/ifconfig ath0 protmode off ifconfig: SIOCS80211: Invalid argument + /sbin/ifconfig ath0 mode 11g pureg ifconfig: SIOCS80211: Invalid argument + /sbin/ifconfig ath0 apbridge ifconfig: SIOCS80211: Invalid argument + /sbin/ifconfig ath0 -wme ifconfig: SIOCS80211: Invalid argument + /sbin/ifconfig ath0 authmode open wepmode off ifco

May 10 11:17:53 php: : The command '/sbin/ifconfig 'ath0' '192.168.0.1/24'' returned exit code '1', the output was 'ifconfig: ioctl (SIOCAIFADDR): Invalid argument'

Any ideas? I can revert back to 7 build and then it works but the syslog seems broken on the latest 7 builds…

Wireless will not work on 8 builds for the time being, it's configured entirely differently in 8.

OK. Thanks for your reply, I'll stick to 7.1 builds for now then.

How are they configured? I can't seem to find anything on this with Google.
