      Hi Everyone,

      I suffer from the issue that prevents you updating users/groups - read only.

      I applied the patch from 2.4.4 unsuccessfully. It seems the patch no longer works.

      Does anyone have a resolution to this for 2.4.5?

      Thanks

        Wasn't this issue solved in 2.4.5 ?

          @Gertjan Apparently not!

          Fresh install of 2.4.5 - installed LDAP authentication, switched back to local auth and can't created groups or users any more.

              Make sure the group your LDAP users get mapped to does not have "Deny Config Write" in its privilege list.

                  Still, check your group privileges.

                  Nothing changed on the group manager page.

                    It seems the local admin is a member of a group with "Deny Config Write"

                    I think the group rights are taking precedent over local admin user rights....

                      Although on checking that group is set to remote so shouldn't affect local users?

                        Update: I got myself out of this one by reverting the config to the stage before I created the group. Thanks Netgate for the backup feature :)
