How long WAN connected ?
Is there someplace to see how long the WAN has been connected ?
It depends on the WAN type. It will show you in Status > Interfaces if it's a ppp connection.
Otherwise you can check the dhcp logs for dhclient entries to see when it last renewed.
Thanks for reply.
My WAN is having a DHCP connection, thru a bridged VDSL2 modem. No PPP needed.
Its a shame the WAN connection time is not already shown on the dashboard someplace.
Would be nice to see the hours, days weeks. months, whatever.
Also, I wonder whether trawling thru DHCP logs will actually reveal any reconnection/s, or whether it just shows timestamps for any periodic renewal of DHCP lease.
Whenever there's any problems with remote access to server/s in DMZ, its helpful to know whether there's been a connection problem at our end.
Is there any howto or guide describing how to add a custom widget to the dashboard ?
Edit. I'm familiar with access to uptime data when using PPPoE. Will need to ponder whether similar data is available when using DHCP. Hmmm.

Info you can use :
DHCP requests. Note that DHCP renewal is just an extending of the exiting lease.
With a WAN set up as DHCP-client, it's actually the system uptime of your pfSense and the upstream router, that gives you the duration of the up time of the link. Use UP's on both, and the ISP link becomes the critical factor.
Also : thing about the dpinger logs.
And the Status > Monitoring : Quality / WAN_DHCP chart.
I'm using myself a remote Munin, that questions pfSense every 5 minutes.
